  2. Purchase individual film tickets

  3. Receive order confirmation by email

  1. Check your order confirmation email for a unique link on October 5th

  2. Click the View button found in the email to watch your film

  3. or open the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival app on ROKU or Apple TV and submit your unique Ticket Voucher Code if prompted

CDFF Drive-In Docs

How early should I arrive at the film?


We suggest arriving 20 minutes before the start of the film.




How will my ticket be scanned?


Upon arrival at the drive-in, if you have a ticket, our volunteers will either scan your ticket on your phone or your printed paper ticket (that you have printed at home) through the window of your vehicle. If you have a membership, you will be directed to a member-only entrance.




How do I reserve my ticket if I have a membership?


- Go to Chagrinfilmfest.org - In the top right hand corner you will see an Event Guide and Tickets button. Click on this button - Click on the Drive-In tab - Choose the film you want to see - Click BUY TICKETS - You will be prompted to sign into Goelevent.com (if you are not already logged in) If you are logged in, you should see a Member Free option. Use the arrow to choose 1 (1 ticket = 1 vehicle) and Add to Cart - You should not be paying for a ticket, if a cost comes up this means you are not logged in! - Click Checkout and confirm reservation and you will receive a confirmation email




How do I buy a ticket if I don’t have a membership


- Go to Chagrinfilmfest.org - In the top right hand corner you will see an Event Guide and Tickets button. Click on this button - Click on the Drive-In tab - Choose the film you want to see - Click BUY TICKETS - You will be prompted to sign into Goelevent.com (if you are not already logged in) or it will ask you to register for Goelevent.com - Use the arrow to choose 1 (1 ticket = 1 vehicle) and Add to Cart - Click Checkout and confirm purchase and you will receive a confirmation email




Will there be food and beverages available for purchase at the Drive-in?


Yes, Chagrin Cinemas will have a satellite concession stand set up. One local pop up restaurant will be on site selling food- including Cowboy Food and Drink, Blazin Bills and Aurelia.




Will there be bathrooms available at the Drive-in?


Yes, there will be portable wheelchair and non wheelchair accessible restrooms available.




Can I bring a folding chair and sit outside of my vehicle to watch the film?


No, all patrons must watch the film from inside their vehicles.




How will I listen to the film?


The sound will come through your vehicle’s FM radio (89.9). The station will be shown on a slide at the Drive-in. Or you may bring a portable radio (to save your car's battery)




Will I be able to leave my car running during the film?


No. Your car must remain off. See a CDFF volunteer with any battery issues.




What if my car radio automatically turns off during the film?


Just turn it back on again. (We're sorry you'll miss a few seconds of audio, but keeping cars running during the film would not be environmentally friendly.)




Are there any vehicle restrictions?


Not permitted are: *Bicycles *Motorcycles or scooters *Buses or RVs *Long wheelbase vans




How will parking be allocated?


The cars will be parked side by side. SUVs will be parked toward the rear of the venue so as not to block the views of smaller cars.




What happens if I arrive late?


You will be directed to the back row




Can I attend without a car?


Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests without cars to the event due to safety concerns.




Do I need to leave the Drive-in between films or can I stay for the next film?


You must leave the Drive-in parking area and get back in line for the next film unless you are a Visionary or Legacy level member.




Is there a limit to how many people per car?


Opening Night and Awards Night - limit 2 people per car Salad Luncheon - no limit. Comes with 2 salads. Extra salads are $15.00 All other film events - no limit




If I am only one person in the car, is the price still the same?


Yes.




What if it rains?


In the event that it is raining too hard for the film to be shown you will be sent a ticket to stream the film or you may request a refund.




How will cars exit the venue at the end of the film?


Every vehicle must exit to the right after the credits and will be directed to leave by the row. Cars will not be permitted to stay parked for the next film, all cars will be directed to exit the venue.

1. BEFORE HEADING OUT

  • Ticket Holders - get mobile tickets ready or print your ticket at home.

    • Reminder - 1 ticket = 1 car

  • Members - so we can better serve you and our ticket holders, please make a reservation

  • Double check when doors open, and film start time

  • Clean your car windshield inside and out

  • Test your radio (consider bringing a portable radio if your vehicle shuts off after a period of time)

  • Select face mask.

  • Check the weather.

  • Remember to bring patience and understanding (this is new to us too)

2. GETTING THERE

  • Check the traffic before leaving.

  • Plan to arrive 20 minutes before the start of the film

  • The Drive-in is at 8200 E Washington St (in front of the Mini Golf - enter at Chagrin Cinemas)

  • Follow directions of volunteers in orange vests directing traffic

3. ON SITE

  • Have your mobile or printed ticket ready to be scanned through your window

  • If you are a member, make sure your flag and member card are visible through your windshield (members have a special, reserved area!)

  • Get snacks and beverages from concessions.

  • Be parked in your assigned spot 15 minutes prior to screening start time

  • Tune your radio to the designated 89.5 FM station.

  • There will be no tickets sold onsite. All tickets must be purchased prior to the event.

  • Show Time - Enjoy the show!
